The Leith Agency could be set to pitch for the global advertising account for Sol after it was reportedly put up for review last month.

The Edinburgh-based agency is thought to be set to take on the likes of Mother and other global creative agencies for the advertising of the alcohol brand, although word is that internal debate has begun within the agency, seen as a ‘wild-card’ entry, as to whether pitching maybe too much of a long-shot, although it is expected to go ahead should they be invited.

The brand is understood to be aiming to establish a new global positioning, and is understood to be talking to several ‘network owned’ agencies.

Leith previously worked with the brand on a number of projects in the UK include Leithal Thinking developing a new strategy for the brand in 2006.

Just wanted to let you all know that I may be set to pitch for the account as well. I've been thinking of taking on Mother and some of the other big boys, though I might have a chat with my missus as she reckons it may be a bit out of my league. Still, if they ask...

I'm popping into HMV on the way home to let them know that I'm free next week for a rebrand if they fancy it.

Who wrote the second sentence? It's taken me three hours to mentally untangle it.

I know they probably thought I'd think it would, but I didn't really think they'd think I'd thought I could.

Any other agencies internally debating whether to pitch for this? We did and we decided to go for it. We've not been invited but we'll submit our ideas anyway.
