Advertising sales house Media Sales Network (MSN) has announced that it has been taken over by its senior management team from Unique Communications Group.

The Manchester firm is now owned by managing director Angela Wilkinson, as well as its former financial controller Rachael Andrew, taking on the role of commercial director and David Moran, former non-executive director, now chairman.

The company was established in 1982 by Robert Johnstone before its acquisition by Unique in 2001, now working across Bauer Media’s platforms, the company also works with Tesco, Time Out and Global Traffic Network.

“During then [2001] and now we have seen growth along with some challenges to the business, particularly the recent squeeze on advertising revenues. We have remained commercially successful and now we are independent again it is time to raise our profile. I’m afraid to say that agencies and advertisers will be seeing rather more of us all in coming months!” commented Angela Wilkinson.
