The latest ABC figures show that newspaper circulation figures are continuing to decline across all newspaper sectors.

Newspaper circulation figures continue to decline according to the latest ABC figures, with national morning titles falling by 243,870 in comparison to a year ago.

The latest figures for newspaper circulation across the UK from 30 August 2010 to 27 February 2011 show that newspaper circulation continues to decline in comparison with figures from the same period a year ago.

The total figures of national morning titles including The Sun, The Daily Star, The Daily Record and The Daily Mirror have fallen to a combined total of 5,150,922.

The largest circulation of those titles continues to be The Sun, with 2,887, 055.

The national morning quality titles, including The Daily Telegraph, the Financial Times, The Herald, The Guardian, I, The Independent, The Scotsman and The Times, have also fallen to 2,050,302, from last year’s 2,269,637.

The Daily Telegraph holds the largest figure with 646,517, although I’s figures were not included having not been established before this ABC period began.

The Sunday newspapers also experience the same fate, with the national Sunday quality titles such as Scotland on Sunday, The Sunday Herald, Independent on Sunday, The Observer, The Sunday Telegraph and The Sunday Times combined figures falling to 2,112,959 - a decline of 227,651.

The national Sunday popular newspapers fall to 5,092, 584 from 5,468,665, while the national Sunday mid market combined figures decline to 2,839,215 from 2,977,147.
