Deceased Coronation Street character Fred Elliott is to be raised from the dead with a spin-off brand being created around the butcher.

Elliott’s Prime Cuts, a range of fresh pork, chicken and beef lines, is to roll out following an agreement between ITV and meat supplier Aurora Food Marketing was struck.

Elliott will feature of packaging for the range, as will Corrie’s pub, the Rovers Return.

This will be the first food range to tie into the soap and follows Coronation Street beer being sold by JW Leeds pub estate and Punch Taverns.
