STV has launched an advertising campaign to promote its online recruitment service, STV Jobs.
Developed by STV Creative, the campaign features two TV adverts featuring two characters hunting for a job – Susie and Stevie – and demonstrates the range of career opportunities available through the site.
Mike Ferguson, head of classified at STV, said: "The new campaign was specifically designed to make STV Jobs stand out from the crowd as the definitive recruitment website for Scotland. There are literally thousands of positions being advertised for hundreds of employer across the country and the application process for candidates is remarkably simple and hassle free. This advertising campaign gets that message across clearly and succinctly.”
Ferguson continued: "There are a number of sites that cater for the Scottish market, but a large proportion of our audience is unique to STV Jobs and don’t use other job boards. STV reaches over two million people a month online and we continue to capitalise on this by profiling STV Jobs to our existing online audience, for example with careers advice and contextual job ads."
The campaign was produced by Aileen Rushton at STV.

Makes S1's TV work look positively pedestrian!
Definitely more award winning commercials from STV Creative!
"Definitely more award winning commercials from STV Creative!" - are you being ironic?
Anon 14:08 What do you think?
The links on the page took me to two mediocre ads that utilise a production style and treatment thta's been seen many, many times before; where are the 2 ads that have been "...specifically designed to make STV Jobs stand out from the crowd..."?
Truely awful.
They'd get in the Roses.
anon - 16.19 - brilliant and so true - you just made a laugh after a very shit day - thank you!
Ta - the Drum Thought Polis have now deleted said comment -Boo Drum! - I spoke words of truth.
Brilliant production values, top creative thinking and strategic brilliance have all combined to produce what is possibly one of the most arresting pieces of visual communication I have seen in decades. And the answer's 'yes' Anon 14:37. Another corker from Scotland's biggest oxymoron.
anybody that has anything nice to say about this dross must work for STV Creative.
