Salford D-Day: 30% of BBC Breakfast staff to move?

Salford D-Day: 30% of BBC Breakfast staff to move?Salford D-Day: 30% of BBC Breakfast staff to move?

The BBC is due to announce today how many Breakfast staff will move to its new base at MediaCityUK in Salford. One early report claims it may only be 30%.

That's the prediction the Guardian is carrying based on an "exit poll" conducted by staff at BBC Breakfast.

If that sounds unscientific, the picture should become clearer later today. The 100 or so staff working on the BBC One programme had to confirm yesterday whether they were prepared to move.

Much of the attention will fall on whether presenter Sian Williams will make the move. Yesterday Williams' agent indicated that she would not be going to Salford, but it is now understood that she may move on a temporary basis.

The Drum will bring you more on this story as we have it.
