St Ann’s Church in Manchester has tasked Just Good Ideas with overseeing its marketing campaign, which includes a giant building wrap around its clock tower.

The campaign will use the city centre landmark as an advertising site, with revenue from media sales being used to finance a regeneration project, including masonry repairs to the church’s locally quarried red sandstone exterior.

Adrian Bentley, creative director at Just Good Ideas, explained: “St Ann’s tower marks the absolute centre of Manchester, and is the exact point from which all distances to and from the city are measured. So, if you’re in Sydney and read the sign ‘Manchester 10,563 miles this way’... it actually means to St Ann’s tower. How good is that?!”

Bentley added that he was already in discussion with ‘a number of local and regional brands’ about the use of the space for advertising, but was looking to speak to further advertising agencies and media companies about exploring the opportunity from June.

Ho ho never has the phrase, "is nothing sacred?" been more apt.

I can see Jesus turning up and pulling these 'wraps' down in a 'money lenders in the temple' type showdown.

Maybe WKD could sponsor the Confessional boxes.
