Yorkshire's Magnificent Attractions begins first TV campaign

Membership organisation, Yorkshire's Magnificent Attractions, which is made up of 21 Yorkshire attractions has launched its first TV campaign.

The four adverts that make up the campaign began to roll out last night during Emmerdale on ITV Yorkshire and were developed in partnership between Bonner & Hindley Communications and Brilliant Media.

The organisation will use the campaign to grow awareness of the attractions featured from the region, and will be supported by print, digital and partnership activity with Welcome to Yorkshire.

The campaign will run until 24 April.

Last night Welcome to Yorkshire also launched a new TV campaign, created by The Raft, featuring a new strapline.

These ads almost make Visit Scotland's latest TV commercial seem competent. And that's some achievement.

They are completely devoid of any creativity or indeed real interest. But if the brief was to simply inform punters about the attractions in Yorkshire, on a very basic level I suppose they succeed.
Still a completely wasted opportunity though.

I really don't think this does Yorkshire justice or relates to the many different audiences that must make up their key demographics. It's a pity as Welcome to Yorkshire has done some good stuff over the last 12 months but this just misses the mark...
