Mark Walton, founder and executive chairman of Fuse8 has moved to become non-executive chairman of the Leeds agency.

Walton will become non-executive chairman of the company, and take on a focus for strategic technology development for Fuse8, while also remaining on the board of directors.

Meanwhile, Fuse8's end of year trading results has seen the agency announce work with the London Stock Exchange, Olympic Park Legacy Company and Welcome to Yorkshire, while it also remains on the acquisition trail.

The Yorkshire digital agency said that despite the current state of the UK economy it was continuing to see an increase in levels of activity from both existing and new clients, with the new accounts adding to a ‘strong’ pipeline of work.

The statement added that the next financial year looked ‘positive’ for the company which expects to increase revenue and profits, while actively reviewing acquisition opportunity for complementary businesses. This follows the acquisition of London digital business Delete at the end of last year.

Nigel Hunter, chief executive officer (pictured) said that the company was pleased with the progress that it had made since joining the market.

“We know that we cannot be complacent about the condition of the economy and recognise the need to continue to deliver exceptional service and results to our clients in order to maintain the continued growth of Fuse 8,” he added.
