Technology entrepreneur Chris Sheffield has been appointed managing director of Betfred.com.

Sheffield is a former CEO of Million-2-1, the mobile gaming business acquired by IGT, and was CEO of web development business Eunite, which was bought by N Brown Group.

He will be responsible for the bookmaker's online gaming products - including sportsbook, casino, bingo, poker - and its mobile gaming products.

Betfred.com spokesman Mark Pearson said Sheffield had "very exciting plans" for mobile betting, poker and e-gaming.

Perhaps he might do a first in the industry and reward existing customers rather than constantly offering deals to new customers!
