Marketing agency BranchMartinSpicer has created an iPhone app for the Colmore Business District in Birmingham.

Aimed at visitors and workers, the free app provides real-time information on events, promotions and other activities taking place in the district.

It includes a full directory of retail and leisure spots and a bespoke map which is not reliant on internet access.

Diane Benussi, a board director of the Colmore Business District, said: "The CBD app is crucial to keeping the District community networked and engaged.  Not only will people be able to have easy access to the latest CBD news and project updates, but it can be their first point of call for everything taking place in the District: from evening events to places to visit, the application will be an essential companion to both workers and visitors.”
