Land Rover has launched a new press campaign to promote the 'adventurousness' of its Defender model

Created by RKCR/Y&R, the ad is made up of a collage of passport stamps designed to show that the Defender is capable of tackling many different environments.

RKCR/Y&R chairman Mark Roalfe said: "It’s an iconic ad than only a brand as iconic as Land Rover could do."

The ad is running now in targeted media.

"It’s an iconic ad" Brilliant all the shit ads I have done in a rush will be going in my book and I will call them iconic

Why is the Chairman commenting on a double page spread? Feeling insecure? Nothing else to shout about?

I like the ad by the way. The passport stamp thing has been done a few times, but I've not seen this particular iteration.

Brilliantly simple. Could see it working online, animation, outdoor, promo (collect stamps), dm, viral (where's the land rover today?)... A proper integrated idea.

Good that the ads are running in 'targeted media' and not The Sewing Times or Tropical Fish weekly...
