Following the recent launch of a spate of PR agencies in Birmingham, another has been launched by former Sunday Times journalist Mark Stretton and former Seal chief executive Steve Dann.

The agency, Fleet Street Communications, will operate from the city’s Jewellery Quarter and will focus on food, drink and hospitality sectors.

Stretton takes the role of managing director, working alongside Francis Patton, former commercial director for Punch Taverns and Arti Halai, a former presenter for ITV Central.

As well as it Birmingham office, a London office has also been set up as part of Fleet Street Consulting Group which was established by Dann and Halai in 2009.

The agency is already working with clients such as Pubco Admiral Taverns, data system firm Brulines and Zolfo Cooper.

PR agencies such as JBP, Citypress and Belgrave have all opened offices in Birmingham in recent months.
