The BBC and British Swimming are working together to create a lasting legacy from the 2012 Olympics with help from Nottingham agency Studio Output.

The Big Splash is the biggest ever campaign to inspire the people of the UK to swim, and will be supported by prime-time broadcasting across the national and regional BBC network.

BBC Sport invited Studio Output to create a branding scheme for the Big Splash, appealing to people of all abilities and ages.

The logo itself aims to capture the fluidity of a splash in progress, and is intended to energise any partner brands it sits alongside.

As the brand will live in a number of different static and dynamic environments, the agency compiled a style guide to cover its use in various marketing communications.

The Big Splash launched live on BBC2 at the weekend.

The website for the new initiative has been created by Manchester-based agency Skylab.
