Last night saw The Leith Agency named as Agency Star of the Year at this year’s Marketing Society Scotland Star Awards.

The Leith Agency picked up the main agency prize while Ian McAteer, managing director of The Union, won the Agency Star of the Year award.

Jo Coomber, chair of the awards for the second year, was named as Marketing Star  while The Scottish Government won Marketing Team of the Year, while the Brightest Star Award was handed to Tangible Group.

Peter Sandstrom, marketing director for Maxxium UK will take up the role of Chair from Coomber for next year’s event.

Personally speaking, I'd like to congratulate Leith. Good to see real social marketing that actually works get some recognition for a change.
