Newspaper Society launches viral campaign following young creatives contest

The Newspaper Society has launched a viral campaign designed by St Luke’s following its contest for young creatives.

The viral shows competitors from the wanted ads ‘Young Team of the Year’ challenge and encourages advertising teams to vote for their favourite pitch for a People’s Choice award.

The winner of the actual competition in April was Muirhoward’s Julia Earthrowl and Poulami Chakraborty, who also won the European contest Best YET.

Robert Ray, the Newspaper Society’s marketing director said: “The People’s Choice is a bit of fun but the aim is to get people further engaged with the wanted ads Young Team of the Year which has gone from strength to strength.”

The viral was mailed to 2,000 advertising and agency contacts today, with the closing day to vote being 17 June.
