Long serving Manchester United footballer Ryan Giggs is extending his stint on newspaper front pages after spending years on their back pages after launching legal action against the News of the World over the phone hacking scandal.
Giggs is the latest high profile figure to seek damages in the belief that the paper had illegally accessed his voicemail via a private investigator.
The battle comes just weeks after Giggs was subject to a humiliating outing as an adulterer in the national press following a failed bid to suppress reports via a superinjunction.
It is thought that the latest legal tussle centres around Giggs alleged affair with his sister in law, Natasha Giggs, reported in the NoW 10 days ago.
