Samsung 3D advertising campaign created for iPad

iPad has launched the first 3D advertising campaign for Samsung today, created by advertising agency Starcom and built using Cooliris.

The advert for the Samsung Galaxy SII can be seen on the TV Guide app on the iPad, and will run to the end of July, delivered across InMobi’s independent global mobile ad network. The 3D effect was added using Cooliris’s award-winning 3D technology, which involves lighting, shading, parallax and motion effects.

Milton Elias, head of mobile at Starcom Mediavest Group, said: “As mobile technology continues to facilitate richer advertising experiences, we feel it’s important to explore this exciting new avenue as a solution for our clients.

“Cooliris’s 3D media ads take mobile/tablet ads to a new level of interactivity and consumer engagement that will play a part in defining the future of mobile advertising.”
