The New Blood festival opened last night in the Truman Brewery in London's Shoreditch. The D&AD event gives colleges the chance to showcase their best digital advertising, design and creative students.
Adding additional spice to the event was that leading industry figures were invited to tour the stands to identify the best pieces of work which will later be featured online.
This year the hundreds of graduates who attended where attracted by an additional New Blood element. As well as the exhibition itself a festival - which is centred on the Shoreditch, Clerkenwell and Old Street areas - is also taking place. It involves creative companies staging talks and running open days.
The Exhibition, which creative companies are using as a way of identifying new talent, runs until 4 July. The Drum was there for the opening, and armed with an iPhone, videoed judges telling us what advice they might offer students, and students telling us where they wanted to be in 10 years.
