Huffington Post UK: Roses or Raspberries? Views from Arianna Huffington, Peter Tatchell, Douglas Alexander, Mike Butcher and more.

The Drum attended the launch event of HuffPo UK and caught up with founder Arianna Huffington, as well as MP Douglas Alexander, European editor of TechCrunch, the head of digital at The Guardian and editor of Press Gazette to discuss the effect that the launch will have on UK journalism.

While she was in town, Huffington was also presented with the Online Media Award won by The Huffington Post in the Best Commentary/Blogging category.

The Huffington Post could not attend the Online Media Awards last month to receive the Award, but gratefully accepted the trophy at last night's launch.

The Online Media Awards, which seek to recognise the best in online journalism, took place in London on 23 June, with The Sunday Times awarded the Grand Prix prize.
