Duplo plans to focus on mums as part of its Christmas campaign, the company revealed at its Christmas in July event.
Speaking to ToyNews, the company revealed that its Christmas marketing campaign will be ‘mum-focussed’, with adverts running on channels such as ITV and Sky Living.
Claire Dorrington, brand manager, said: "Duplo will be implementing a heavyweight TV campaign throughout November which will actively seek to target mums.
"Christmas is a key selling period for Lego Duplo and as such it is crucial that we achieve widespread exposure for the brand, both above and below the line, at this time of year."

Christmas is a key selling period for children's toys is it? The only thing remarkable here is that they've gone a bit retro/un-pc with their targeting of mums rather than 'parents'. Is that because its dads that usually buy the bricks?
I think it's because the kids market is saturated. They've spotted that new mums' brains have been reduced to jelly by the mindless routine of childcare, and they're going to position Duplo as a means of regaining various mental skills. Very clever.
