Manchester agency Euro RSCG PR has hired Robbie Platt from Weber Shandwick and announced promotions in its consumer and corporate teams.

In the role of creative lead, Platt will be responsible for "driving creativity and national news generation" for clients including Pets at Home, Greggs and Chewits.

Julie McGuckian, who joined from Fishburn Hedges in November 2010 as associate director, has been promoted to board director. Senior account manager Emma Cameron has been made account director.

Managing Director, Brian Beech said: “Strengthening the team with well deserved internal promotions and the hiring of external talent ensures we stay at the top of our game, delivering outstanding campaigns.

“The addition of Robbie Platt as creative lead allows us to develop and grow our own internal skill set as well as offering clients and prospective new business something different that sets us apart from the competition.”
