It has been suggested that three companies - Stroma, Océ and Newspaper Abroad – have created a partnership in order to publish more foreign papers in the UK.
This partnership could lead to 45 more newspapers, mainly Scandinavian, being published at Stroma's plant in Southall.
The plan will allow the newspapers to be read in London on the same day they are published.
Andreas Qvist, chief executive and co-founder of Newspaper Abroad, told the Guardian’s Roy Greenslade: “Until now, the newspapers had been flown in at prohibitive cost and then distributed the following day... Now virtually all the editions will be available to the reader before 7.30am...
“Stroma and Océ are important print partners for us, particularly as they have worldwide reputations for digital excellence in the newspaper industry.”
