Betfred has appointed Manchester search agency theEword to handle its pay-per-click (PPC) account.

The betting site has briefed theEword to design and develop a range of PPC marketing services for five product teams within Betfred.com.

The aim is to drive traffic to Betfred's online and mobile sites and boost conversion rates.

Al Mackin, MD of theEword, said: "theEword has extensive experience of working within the most challenging sectors, so it’s fantastic to be able to expand our portfolio of gaming clients with one of the leading players in the field.

"We're very excited about working with Betfred.com and putting our plans into action."
