Manchester agency Ahoy Creative has designed the branding for a new brewery.
Ahoy said its brief was to create a brand aimed at men who love and appreciate good beer. "It had to be bold, and stand out - it had to have balls," the agency said.
It came up with the name Blue Ball and a retro-Americana theme which sees a 50s pin-up girl straddle the beer bottles.
Ahoy then designed an e-commerce website and product identities and names for Blue Ball's three main beers - Blonde Bombshell, Zepplin and Hawk. Beer pump designs and bottles were created to fit the brand style.
Matt Riley, managing director of Blue Ball said: "Our beers have been well received and as a result we have had a significant amount of repeat business.
"We have gone from a start-up to selling 200+ casks per months which equates to over 1500 pints a month.”
