Propaganda creates 'Born Again' film for Illamasqua

Leeds agency Propaganda has created a short film to promote its own make-up brand Illamasqua.

'Born Again' stars the Bafta winning actress Vicky McClure, best known for her role in Shane Meadows films such as This is England.

It tells the story "of a beautiful young woman on a journey that will define who she will be for the rest of her life".

Sorry guys; nicely shot and acted but I had lost interest by about the half way point. And, I’m afraid, I’m not convinced the make-up design as applied to Vicky would be a very strong selling point – unless you are aiming at drag queens.

If Propaganda are trying to prove how Arty/Creative they can be well I'm afraid they've failed miserably with this. They produced some really good stuff with GHD in the early days and it went to their heads a bit. I also agree with the first comments below.

A bit too self indulgent. Liked the animation you did for the charity last year but this lacks pace, direction and engagement.

I genuinely prefer her without the make up. Sorry.

I was expecting Phil Oakey to be in the body bag.

I think it looks great and Vicky McClure is obviously very talented, but I have to agree with the 'overlong' comments.

Would like to see a 2 minute edit. Sure it would get the message across, albeit in a punchier way.

The term tedious comes to mind, and I have the awful feeling that I have just wasted seven minutes and eleven seconds of my life - which I will never get back!
