Newcastle based post-production media company Mere Mortals has announced that it has opened a sister company in Dubai.

The opening of the new company, Spitfire, is the start of Mere Mortal’s plans for global expansion into new marketplaces.  The Dubai office will be headed up by company directors Andrew Durning and Brian Shepherd. 

David Jeffries, managing director, said: “We have high hopes for Dubai; the UAE is fast pulling out of recession, Dubai is in a different economic cycle to Europe and America and we believe there are fantastic opportunities available to us.

“Initially we shall be running Nuke, FCP and the usual host of Adobe products with a view to building a 3D team over a period of time.”
