Zurich Financial Services Group has named Maeve Gallagher as its new global head of media relations.

Gallagher, who recently worked at DKSH, will take over the role from Angel Serna, who was recently promoted to global head of corporate communications.

She will be made responsible for leading the global media relations team at the group, tasked with developing the media strategy and will act as primary spokesperson for Zurich Finance.

Gallagher has previously held senior roles with DKSH, Citigate Dewe Rogerson, UBS, JP Morgan and Barclays Capital, where was director and head of corporate communications and global marketing for Asia-Pacific.
