A new advert for McDonalds, which will air from 6 September to mid October, will have a 50s theme and show an American family being transported to a new time.
The advert will be for a new limited edition product, which has not been revealed yet.
Portsmouth based The News revealed that the advert was filmed in Hertfordshire, featuring a local boy who will play a paperboy.
A spokesperson for McDonalds said that people would just have to ‘wait and see’ what the new product was.

Why do they keep pedalling the same shit, we're not American and don't want to be American..... too late we're half way there, carry on.

We are indeed not America, but they have imported there gargantuan apetites for cheap food, cars and movies (Americana) to the rest of the world, so we become fat docile people that just don't have the energy too loot. :-)
Yet we are catching up on the OBESITY index to being the fatest European country, pathetic really.

Sorry good advert just aimed at the wrong country.
It will still get a smile from my Dad & I.
Reminds me of a story about my Dad. When he was a kid he had a paper round, he watched an American movie with a paperboy in it. Delivery by throwing the newspapers at the lawns & doors. Well you can guess what happened next... ha ha
What an effect the American way of life had on us way back then in the late 50's early 60's. Like the rest of the world the USA influence was an import from the Second World War.
It's The 1955 Burger
Made with 100% British and Irish beef, juicy tomato, fresh lettuce, grilled onions and
smoked bacon, with two brand new sauces - Say hello to a modern classic - the ‘1955’.
This classic burger is packed full of authentic flavours - inspired by the birth of McDonald’s in the 1950s evoking the spirit of the good old days of America.

My 1954 Chevrolet school bus is the bus in this commercial. I brought my two grandsons with me to Chicago from Springfield Missouri and we had a grand time!
Here is a link to some photos from the shot, a news report about our trip to Chicago and some video of the commercial being made:

Is there a way to see the entire commercial online?
Thanks
Jim, the bus driver
