Birmingham agency Supercool has designed the FixMyTransport website, which lets beleaguered bus, train, ferry and tram users register their complaints and campaign for better services.

FixMyTransport is the brainchild of mySociety, which also launched the campaigning sites FixMyStreet.com and WhatDoTheyKnow.com.

This is the first time it has commissioned an external design company to handle the user experience and front-end design.

The site aims to make it effortless to contact any transport operator in Great Britain. FixMyTransport sends complaints direct to them and publishes a record online in a bid to improve transparency and accountability across the transport industry.

It also provides a simple online toolkit which lets users turn persistent issues into campaigns to which other users may add their names.

The site has now gone live after a fortnight in beta.
