Video: Watch TBWA\Manchester's new TV campaign for JJB

TBWA\Manchester has created a national TV advertising campaign for retailer JJB Sports.

Running until the first week of October, the campaign comprises three TV ads running on ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky channels.

The spots are soundtracked by the Sonny J song 'Can't Stop Moving' and showcase the breadth of the JJB product range by showing ordinary people preparing for all manner of sports.

Fergus McCallum, CEO at TBWA\Manchester, said: "This is our first piece of work for JJB and we’re confident it captures the vibrancy and spirit of those who have a passion for their chosen sport.

"JJB operates in most major towns and cities in the UK and is a household name and so we wanted to build upon that reputation positioning them as the one stop shop for anyone wanting to get involved in a sport or activity."

The 'one stop shop' is the problem not the solution.

It may capture a spirit but it is very badly branded. A strategic own goal with the main competitor being called JD. Poor effort really.

Still, I'm sure it will win a Fresh award...

I don't think TBWA have lowered themselves to the fresh awards yet.

Creative awards and this ad should not be mentioned in the same century.

Sam Brown: I liked it too.

( The usual TBWA bashing still goes on - sadly )
