Search Consultancy, a Glasgow-based recruitment agency, has signed a Tier 2 deal to become the Official Recruitment Agency for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Search will be responsible for attracting and recruiting 1,044 people from now until the Opening Ceremony on 23rd July 2014 – which is in 1,044 days.
David Grevemberg, Glasgow 2014 chief executive, said: “We have 1,044 days until the Opening Ceremony and I am delighted to announce that Search has officially become part of our Glasgow 2014 Family to recruit 1,044 jobs for the Organising Committee.
“Search’s ethos is founded on finding the best of Scottish talent across a range of sectors, and as we will be recruiting so many people in a short period of time we need that all-important local knowledge to deliver the skilled workforce to stage an outstanding Games in three years’ time.
“It goes without saying that Search will help us deliver a huge economic boost to Glasgow and Scotland in recruiting these 1,044 jobs, and leave a lasting and positive legacy for the Scottish workforce.”
Simone Lockhart, managing director of Search Consultancy in Scotland, said: “Today marks the start of the search for enthusiastic, talented and skilled people to come and work for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. We’re delighted to be providing the official recruitment services and are committed to finding the very best people to deliver an exceptional Games for the city of Glasgow.
“Each and every one of the 1,044 roles we’re recruiting for will provide someone with a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting once-in-a-lifetime event. As a company established in Glasgow, we’re proud to be associated with something of this scale which will undoubtedly make history for the city and its people.”

First Harper Macleod and now Search. Reassuring that the big names are coming to the Games party. What next? Maybe Larry's Laminate Land as the headline sponsor.
