The Classic Rock Roll Of Honour announces Living Legend Award

Jeff BeckJeff Beck

Music award ceremony, The Classic Rock Roll Of Honour, has announced that it will be presenting this year’s prestigious Living Legend Award to former Yardbirds guitarist Jeff Beck.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Roundhouse in Camden on Wednesday 9th November and will be hosted by Kiss frontman Gene Simmons; former winners of the Living Legend Award include Jimmy Page, Lemmy, Ozzy Osbourne, Iggy Pop and Alice Cooper.

“The Classic Rock Roll Of Honour has always been about great music that inspires and excites others,” said Beck.

“To be named as a ‘Living Legend’ amongst so many fantastic musicians is an honour. When I was a 6 year old boy I heard Les Paul’s ‘How High the Moon’ over the radio and from that moment on I knew that I wanted to play the guitar and make music. That moment has led me to where I am today.”

Classic Rock Magazine has announced its shortlist for the coveted reader-voted categories for this year’s Roll Of Honour and fans can cast their all important vote now at the magazine’s website.
