Coca-Cola is launching an on-pack promotion that will give customers the chance to win tickets to the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The promotion will run throughout October on all Coke packs with daily giveaways of VIP tickets including accomodation in a five star London hotel, full hospitality and a travel contribution for a group of four.

As well as the daily giveaways, every consumer that enters will also be automatically entered into a weekly prize draw to win the chance to attend the Opening or Closing Ceremony.

The ticket promotion is part of Coca-Cola's sponsorship of the games. The soft drinks giant has also run ads to find inspirational young people to carry the Olympic torch in the relay.

James Eadie, Olympic Games portfolio director at Coca-Cola, said: "Through our October London 2012 ticket giveaway, our consumers will be able to win amazing VIP tickets and prizes for their families to attend sold out events at the Olympic Games.

"At the same time, through our Future Flames campaign, we’re rewarding and celebrating inspirational young people by giving them the chance to run with the flame during the Olympic Torch Relay as it travels up and down the country next year.”

i love it when these huge global companies start throwing around tickets wily nily to anyone who can shove a chocolate bar down their gullet, while real supporters and fans are scrambling around for tickets after being letdown by the original ticket sale lottery. it turns me against these brands rather than makes me warm to them.
