The Press Association has said that it aims to have at least one reporter covering every minute of every event at next year's London 2012 Olympic Games.

According to Press Gazette, 90 press passes have been allocated to regional newspapers of 400 UK press accreditations.

In July The Drum reported that only four spaces had been allocated to Scottish newspapers.

The PA has been allocated 90 passes, not included in the 400 accreditations for UK press however, which will be made up of around; 61 reports, 20 photographers, three technicians and six video journalists.

It is anticipated that several events held throughout the games will be opened to non-accredited press however.
