Public Creative has created an iPhone and iPad app for the innocent kids brand, which form part of the brand’s overhauled digital strategy.

Public was briefed to create an application that would perfectly translate the innocent kids’ world onto the new platforms, whilst offering a level of engagement that continues to show the brand’s understanding of its younger audience.  It is aimed at 4-9 years olds.

The app includes a game from the website, ‘The Dude’s Banana Plane’, in which users have to navigate a plane while trying to pick up fruity bonuses.  It has been adapted especially for the iPad and iPhone formats with exclusive features such as a ‘night mode’, where the innocent world turns to darkness as the game progresses, and a variety of performance-based bonuses to unlock.

Rhydian Fisher, managing director of Public, said: “This project is particularly interesting for us, both in terms if the opportunity to take innocent Kids into a key new market with bang-on targeting where the brand and the iPad meet, but in how we’re working alongside them too.

“Contrary to industry conventions, we’re taking a results-based approach, staking our rewards entirely upon the success of the app. We believe in the strategy, not just the product, so we’re putting our money where our mouth is and really investing in our work.”
