Nigel Hunter, chief executive of Fuse8 has left the agency having been placed on gardening leave by the marketing services agency.

At the beginning of September, Hunter offered his resignation after it was claimed that the financial performance of the company would not meet expectations, and an investigation launched to examine ‘other issues’.

An announcement to the Stock Market has said that he left the company on Saturday 1 October and the Mark Walton, founder and chairman of the agency, had taken on chief executive duties.
