Women’s magazine ELLE has partnered with Nokia for the launch of its Nokia 700 with the creation of a new style app.

ELLE designed the ELLE UK Style Quiz app and marketing activity in-house for the campaign, which includes an ELLE website competition to win one of five handsets and £500 to spend on a handbag.

‘The Perfect Fit: Faster, Slicker, Smarter’ campaign activity includes a promotion on the Nokia and ELLE Facebook and Twitter platforms and an online Fashion Channel Takeover with the aim of driving traffic to the Nokia / Vodafone landing page, as well as display advertising.

The launch will be supported by advertorials in the ELLE’s November and December issues.

Anna Jones, COO of Hearst Magazines UK, said: “It is great to be working with Nokia as a partner for the Nokia 700 app. As the world’s biggest selling fashion magazine, ELLE has a unique relationship with Nokia’s target female audience and we are looking forward to seeing the results of this innovative cross-platform partnership.”

John Nichols, director of marketing for Nokia UK, said: “The Nokia 700 is our most compact smartphone to date, yet incorporates all the tools modern women need to run their lives. ELLE was a natural partner to help reach our target audience online.”
