Urban River completes development of Tyne Tunnels web and mobile sitesTyne Tunnels has launched a new web and mobile site offering real-time traffic updates and journey times, as well as webcam visuals.
The site, created by Urban River which initially worked with Tyne Tunnels in 2009, also offers a feature which allows users to apply for a top-up a fast track permit.
The site is now live with an additional phase set to coincide with the opening of the new tunnel at the start of next year, which will be integrated with the new toll system.
The new tunnel is the largest civil construction project currently underway in Europe, with the website aimed at informing its 40,000 visitors a month.
