This week will see The House of Lords Communications Committee interview for editor of Panorama and This Week, Roger Bolton and Facebook’s director of Public Policy for the EU, Lord Allan of Hallam, as it continues its enquiry into the future of investigative journalism.

The Committee will question Bolton, chairman of Flame Productions, as well as Roger Graef, CEO of Films of Record, as it continues to examine the concepts of commissioning investigative programmes and the manner in which content for such investigations are sourced.

Having questioned both, the Committee will then focus on data journalism, questions Lord Allan, as well as Professor Jon Crowcroft from the University of Cambridge and investigative journalist for Newsnight, Elena Egawhary, on the credibility of online data and what risks are present when using the internet to source information for investigations, including the impact of social media.

These will take place tomorrow in the House of Lords.
