Ahead of the launch of a new £6m creative office development opening in Newcastle, its website has gone live having been developed by BrandNewKarol.

The website for the Toffee Factory was developed to offer a wealth of information on the new building, including an image gallery and a newly designed logo.

BrandNewKarol has been formed through a partnership between creative agencies Brand New and Karol Marketing. This is the first creative work from the agency since its merger.

Paul Scott, creative director of BrandNewKarol, said: “Toffee Factory website was designed to be clear and simple and user friendly to represent the classic and highly efficient ethos of the project as a whole. We were asked to create a website that could be easily updated by the Toffee Factory team enabling them to upload information and news quickly which is vital to ensuring ambitions to effectively communicate with Toffee Factory residents, the North East community and the wider business world.

“The metallic background used in the site represents the industrial heritage of the building and echoes the building’s authentic routes, while the clear, concise design and use of current information and progress updates reflects the creative and interactive nature of the new building. The Toffee Factory chimney is subtly represented on the website by the vertical menu toolbar.”

The Toffee Factory hopes to eventually house up to 25 different creative and digital businesses with Hedley McEwan, Sumo Design, Multiminded, Ambit Creatives, Keltie Cochrane and Pod Architects already agreeing to move there.
