The Co-operative Group’s ‘Green Schools Revolution’ brand identity has been created by Delineo.

The initiative is designed to encourage school children to become ‘green pioneers’.

Delineo was briefed to develop a unique look and feel for each of the programme’s themes, whilst maintaining consistent branding across all communications. The aim was to engage children, teachers and parents and develop a concept that appealed to all groups on issues such as water conservation, energy saving and healthy living.

Melanie Phillips, who heads up Green Schools Revolution for The Co-operative, said: “This programme is a key component in our goal to help and inspire young people. From the very start of this project, Delineo understood the challenges and created a well thought out, inspiring identity that has engaged teachers and children in schools and the wider public to the programme. So far, over 3,500 schools have signed up to the programme, showing what a huge success it has been already.”

The campaign will roll out across educational materials and teachers’ packs, 48 sheets, press advertisements, website, iPhone App, member/staff handbooks and in-store POS.

Sam Rowlands, Delineo client services director, said: “The brief required us to strike the right balance between providing engaging content for children, teenagers and adults, without alienating any of these groups. It’s a tremendously exciting initiative to be involved with as it aims to change the way children and adults think about their impact on environmental resources.”
