1000heads is bringing together some of the world’s top Christmas cracker joke writers from across the UK to create personalised jokes through Twitter.

This will be the second year that the London digital agency has attempted the feat of creating over 200 jokes having hired professional comedians and joke writers.

This year’s joke writers will include Jim Smallman, James Sherwood and Joe Wells.

The agency has developed a microsite to host the personalised jokes, which will see the agency pool its best research, analytics and creative minds to work alongside the joke writers over three days this week (13-15 December).

Followers on Twitter can also contact the agency for a personalised joke using #customcracker.

The agency is aiming to write around 200 jokes over the three days.

James Whatley, engagement director for 1000heads explained: "Believe it or not, these Custom Crackers are the perfect embodiment of our work here at 1000heads: our listening tools help us understand people, our creative ideas help us build the joke around that understanding and then, ultimately, our friendly, human tone of voice (and sense of humour!) help build relationships with people - all over the world."

The microsite will go live tomorrow"(Tuesday 13 December).
