Lynx is warning the public that the end of the world will take place in a year’s time, according to the Mayan calendar, with Lynx Mynxs taking to the streets of London wearing sandwich boards.

The sandwich boards for the event, which Mischief PR worked with Lynx to create and execute, direct men to Lynx’s Last Request generator; a Facebook app which allows people to put forward their ‘final wishes’, which could be made a reality. The Twitter hashtag #endoftheworld also featured on the boards.

Kieran Danaher, Lynx brand manager, said: “Lynx believes that there is only one way for men to depart this land and that is to leave no stone unturned, to live every day as though it is your last.

“Through the Last Request generator guys will be able to make those last requests and who knows, they may just become a reality in 2012.”

An advertising campaign for Lynx 2012 - The Final Edition Bodyspray launched last month, and features a man building an arc, with girls marching two-by-two to the finished product after he sprays the deodorant on himself.
