The Abercrombie & Fitch ‘Ashley’ push-up bikini for girls aged between eight and 14 has been voted as the product flop of the year by Yahoo Finance's 24/7 Wall Street.

The product led to complaints from parent groups and child development experts. The company then tried to back peddle, saying on its Facebook page: “We’ve re-categorized the Ashley swimsuit as padded. We agree with those who say it is best ‘suited’ for girls age 12 and older.”

The bikini top is now no longer featured on the Abercrombie & Fitch website.

Other products on the list include Qwikster, the failed DVD-by-mail section of Netflix which was killed off before it was launched, and the Fiat 500.
