A New Year’s Change4Life campaign will see four million recipe packs distributed offering money off healthy ingredients at thousands of supermarkets across the country and include four

The campaign will also include the publishing of 100,000 free editions of a new cookbook by Ainsley Harriott featuring recipies for healthy meals that can be prepared for less than £5.

Four million recipe packs will be handed out to Change4Life supporters and a new online recipe finder has also been developed to help families plan their meals.

Ainsley Harriott said: “Sometimes the thought of making meals from scratch can seem a bit daunting, but I have always tried to assure people that cooking at home can be really quick, easy and doesn’t need to break the bank.

“This campaign is a great way to give people the tools and imagination they need to get back into the kitchen and give cooking a try. All you have to do is make an effort to sit down and pull together a simple meal plan and follow some handy cost effective recipe ideas from Change4Life.”

Harriott will also appear in YouTube cooking tutorials that have been placed on the Change4Life channel.

Having worked with Change4Life it is great to see a TV personality such as Ainsley Harriott getting behind them to help promote this campaign.

Eating healthy has never been the cheap option with microwave meals for 99p and especially during these 'times of austerity' it is good to see that eating healthy doesn't need to come at a price.
