Nuts magazine has partnered with augmented reality platform Blippar to create 'The Interactive Issue'.
The special edition, on sale this week, includes more than 20 pieces of additional augmented editorial content that can be brought to life by readers' smartphones and the Blippar application.
The interactive content includes a video introduction by glamour model Lucy Pinder, an interview with comedian Ross Noble and behind-the-scenes footage from the magazine's cover shoot.
In keeping with the theme, the magazine has created interactive point of sale materials that will be used in independent retailers. Potential readers that 'blipp' the shelf-talkers with their phones will see an exclusive clip from model Rosie Jones encouraging them to buy the issue.
James Thrower, publisher of Nuts, said: "The Interactive Issue achieves the goal of bringing our readers even closer to the great features and franchises that appear in the magazine week-after-week."
