The Drum has learned that Tim Gearey, the managing director of Golley Slater PR, has left the business.

Gearey held the role since August 2009 and was responsible for the day-to-day running of the agency's PR operation from Birmingham.

Chris Lovell, group chief executive of Golley Slater, confirmed Gearey's exit but declined to comment on the circumstances.

Before joining Golley Slater Gearey spent 12 years at McCann Erickson, where he became deputy managing director. It is not yet clear whether he has another job lined up.
