FireFly Communications MD Mark Mellor loses Cancer battleMark Mellor, managing director for Firefly Communications has died from Cancer, the agency has announced.
Mellor, who worked with the agency for over 23 years, joining less than a year after the agency’s formation, was described by the company’s CEO Claire Walker as “a great businessman, an excellent PR operator and dedicated dad.”
She added; “He will be missed by many.”
Prior to joining Firefly, Mellor was account manager for Countrywide Communications and account executive at Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster.
He is survived by his wife, Claire Walker and their three children, Toby (15), Robyn and Max (12).

I had the pleasure of getting to know Mark when we were both at Biss Lancaster, early in our careers, and then met Mark now and again over the years since. In short, Mark was a very decent guy and enriched those who knew him. What a very sad loss. Julian
