Former News International digital commercial executive Alex Hole has been appointed by Amazon as advertising sales director.

Hole, who spent time at the Telegraph and Tiscali prior to working across News International websites including newsoftheworld.co.uk, thesundaytimes.co.uk, thetimes.co.uk and thesun.co.uk, joins the e-commerce giant as it battles to maintain its market share in an increasingly competitive retail environment.
